If you don't have time each day but do know about something in detail, put it within different topics and make blog posts. for example, your blog can be a guide to various DIY things for the house. or making some home furniture, or some guide to a software. This type of blog may not receive a lot of hits but will get you a few hits over regularly, long after you have actually written the blog.

If you have the time and inclination to write regularly, you can attract a lot of regular readers which will definitely get more hits than a static blog. you can write about the work you do and the Industry you work in. May be help people find a career in that industry.
